Khopara Trekking is a new trekking route in Annapurna region. Khopara Trekking is an off-the-beaten-path from the famous trek to Ghorepani Poon Hill. The Khopara Trekking of Trekking Trail Nepal offers you the amazing scenic views of the Mt. Annapurna ranges with the Mt. Dhaulagiri ranges. Khopara Trekking is also called Annapurna Dhaulagiri Community Trek. Knopara is situated to the west of the Annapurna Sanctuary route. The initiation of 5 community lodges and homestay program has been very helpful to develop this off the beaten track and teahouse Khopara trekking route. This region is inhabited mostly by Magar and Gurung people. There is a community-managed project named Himanchal Education Foundation through which the local people invest all their profits to promote education. There are other several community-managed projects which have been supporting the local people for their development. The generosity of the local people is really welcoming and comforts you as a family member.
 
The Khopara Danda lies at an altitude of 3660m. The Khopara trekking is suitable for the passionate travelers with a Moderate physical endurance of walking for about 6-7 hours every day. Regular exercising and jogging will enhance the strength and stability of travelers. The best time to travel to Khopara Trekking is during Spring season and Autumn season. But the Khopara trekking can be arranged during any time of the season. The attractions of the Khopara trekking are Khayer Lake and the Yak pastures (only found in the Khopara ridge) of the Annapurna region.   • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and we take you to the hotel in Kathmandu and provided you the all details of trip.
  • Day 02: Drive to Pokhara, 6-8 Hours, Overnight in Hotel, near by lake.
  • Day 03: Pokhara to Nayapul (1 1/2 hrs), trek to Ghandruk (1940m) 6 hrs
  • Day 04: Trek, Ghandruk (1940m) to Tadapani (2590 m) 4 hrs
  • Day 05: Tadapani (2590 m) to Bayali Kharka (3450m) 6 hrs
  • Day 06: Bayali Kharka (3450m) to Upper Chistibung (2990m) 4 hrs
  • Day 07: Upper Chistibung (2990m) to Kopra Ridge (3650m) 3 hrs, 1/2 day hike in Kopra Ridge
  • Day 08: Kopra Ridge (3650m) to Swanta (2195m) 5½ hrs
  • Day 09: Swanta (2195m) to Danda Kharka (2850m)
  • Day 10: Danda Kharka (2850 m) to Tikot (2278 m) via Poon Hill (3194 m) 8 hrs.
  • Day 11: Tikot (2278 m) to Beni (850 m) 4 hrs.
  • Day 12: Beni to Pokhara (4 hr bus ride) or to Kathmandu (9 hr bus ride).

Trip Note

This Khopara Trekking is also called the Myagdi Parbat Eco-trek. This Trekking Trail located in the area around Poon Hill, and part lies right on the Great Himalaya Lower Trail (Cultural Route). The area is mostly populated by Gurung and Magar people. This is one of the several new community-managed projects in Nepal, where the benefits from your visit reach the whole community. In this case, they have one main goal is; to invest all proceeds in increasing local access to education and health through Himanchal Education Foundation.
