Overview

Tilicho Lake Trek is a trek with historical and pilgrimage significance to the world’s highest lake. Tilicho Lake as it was mentioned as a Holy Place in the Ramayana, the holy mythological Hindu book. Tilicho Lake Trekking provides you the most challenging jeep drive from Besisahar to the Manang or Braka village, Highest Lake of the world at 4919m, Khangsar village, 700 years old monastery of Braka. It covers the premises of the Tilicho lake collecting the glacial melt of northern inclines as Gangapurna Lake, Annapurna 2, 4, 3, Khansar Peak, Tilicho Peak, from Annapurna Himalayan range and Himal Chuli and Manaslu from Manaslu Range.

Tilicho Lake Trekking - Trek to World Highest Lake

Tilicho Lake Trek is basically similar to the Annapurna Circuit Trail but take Trail from Manang instead of taking the valley north to the Tanki Manang and Yak Kharka passing through the Khanshar village. Then we trek up to Tilicho Lake 4919 m crossing the sandy flowing trekking trail from Shree Kharak to Tilicho Base Camp. So the trekkers need to have strong physical endurance and passion for exploring and trekking through the ups and downs with more attentiveness.

 The Manang village is the central tourist hub for the trekkers of Annapurna region. Almost all the facilities of communication like the internet, telephone; currency exchange, high altitude hospital, German bakery are available here. The cultural diversity of this village is a striking experience. Hence, this Tilicho Lake Trek gives you an opportunity to enjoy the cultural, historical and natural diversity of the region of Tilicho Lake.

Tilicho Lake Trek offers the amazing views of the small Gurung and Thakali hamlets on the laps of the Himalayan range of Mt. Manaslu and Himal Chuli to the east along the Marsyangdi river. After hiking up to Tilicho lake, we can have an alternate route of the challenging pass of Moesokanta La Pass to Jomson instead of Thorong La pass but the change in the itinerary should be informed in order to arrange the additional equipment with properly equipped tented camps, flights, and Hotel.

    Trek to Pisang.

    Trek to Brakha

    Rest in Brakha, Acclimatization hike to Ice Lake 4800m.

  • Day: 06 :

    Trek to Shri-Kharka

  • Day: 07 :

    Trek to Tilicho Base Camp.

  • Day: 08 :

    Reach to World highest Lake and back to Shri-Kharka.

  • Day: 09 :

    Trek back to Manang.

  • Day: 10 :

    Drive Manang to Besi Sahar.

  • Day: 11 :

    Drive back to Kathmandu.

    End of Tilicho Lake Trekking, Transfer to Airport.
