This region is inhabited mostly by Magar and Gurung people. There is a community-managed project named Himanchal Education Foundation through which the local people invest all their profits to promote education. There are other several community-managed projects which have been supporting the local people for their development. The Khopra Danda lies at an altitude of 3660m. The Khopra trekking is suitable for the passionate travelers with a Moderate physical endurance of walking for about 6-7 hours every day.
